Where to stay near Sector 55–56 Rapid Metro on a budget
15 October 2026 · 4 min read

Golf Course Road is one of Gurugram's busiest office corridors, and the Sector 55–56 Rapid Metro station sits right in the middle of it. If you're here for an interview, a training week or the first month of a new job, staying near the metro saves you an hour of traffic a day. The trouble is that most places to stay here are priced for business travellers on expense accounts.
Your options, roughly
- Business hotels: comfortable, but usually ₹4,000–₹8,000 a night on Golf Course Road.
- Serviced apartments: good for families, but most want a week or more and a deposit.
- PGs: cheap by the month, but few take you for three nights, and food and Wi-Fi vary a lot.
- Pods: your own bed and locker in a shared space, booked by the night. Usually the cheapest option with hotel-style housekeeping.
What a pod gets you
At POD Prime, 300 m from the station, ₹900 a night gets you a curtained bunk with a 10-inch mattress, reading lamp, fan, charging points and a lockable wardrobe. Breakfast from the live counter, with eggs cooked to order, is included. You share an air-conditioned lounge, work desks, a pantry and bathrooms with hot showers. ₹1,000 a night adds a chef-cooked dinner.
That's close to what many people spend on cabs alone when they stay further out and commute in.
Who it suits
Pods work best if you're out most of the day and want a clean, safe, well-located bed for the night. They're popular with people starting a new job, students in for exams and interviews, and anyone between flats. If you need total privacy, or you're travelling as a couple, a private room will suit you better.
Before you book
- Check the walk to the station on a map. 300 m and 1.5 km feel very different in May.
- Ask what food is included. Breakfast every day adds up.
- Make sure you get a lockable wardrobe, not just a shelf.
- Carry a government photo ID. Every licensed stay in Gurugram needs one at check-in.
